How to play TriPeaks Solitaire

Use a short break to learn the rhythm of TriPeaks Solitaire. Remove all three peaks from the tableau. Look at what changes after your first action. Identify the playing area and the controls you need. Check the relevant rule before repeating a move.

Three-peak covered layout with a single-pass draw stock. Free solo play, no wagering.

A careful first round

Before your first action, say what you are trying to achieve. Then compare the result with the goal. Keep the objective visible.

Your goal

Remove all three peaks from the tableau. Use the instructions to see which actions move you towards it. The example below illustrates a decision.

Step by step

  1. Take an exposed card one rank above or below the waste top. Ace and king connect in this edition.
  2. Click an exposed card or eligible pair to remove it.
  3. Draw when useful.
  4. Undo reverses a choice. New deal shuffles again.

Controls

Click or tap cards and piles. Wide tableaus scroll inside the game; use Undo, Hint and New deal where shown. Read a button’s label before selecting it. Make sure you are interacting with the game rather than the surrounding page.

A useful example

Waste 7 accepts exposed 6 or 8. Use the example as a guide rather than a substitute for reading your board. Keep the game’s format in mind.

Watch out for this

Random deals are not guaranteed solvable. A hint is a legal move, not a winning strategy. Compare the situation with the worked example. Compare the worked example with your own position. Use the reasoning, not an answer copied from a different board.
