How to play Bowling

Take a moment with Bowling before moving to another game. Complete ten frames and maximise the score. Keep the game area visible while you use its controls. Treat the first round as a chance to learn the controls. Check the relevant rule before repeating a move.

Play ten frames using a two-dimensional bowling lane. Strikes, spares and bonus rolls count towards the total.

Review a difficult moment

When a decision goes wrong, compare it with the common mistake described below. Start again only when you intend to leave the current round. Refer to the controls when needed.

Step by step

1. Set lane position and power.
2. Roll into the rack.
3. A strike ends a normal frame; otherwise roll again.
4. The tenth can earn bonus rolls.

Controls

Lane-position/power sliders and Roll ball. A careful first action helps you become familiar with the layout. A new-round button replaces the current round.

A useful example

A strike followed by rolls of 4 and 5 makes the strike frame worth 19. An ordinary frame of 4 and 5 is worth 9. Compare this with the rule that governs the move. Keep the game’s format in mind.

Watch out for this

Bonus-dependent frames may not yet have a confirmed total. Take a moment to reassess the position before continuing. Locate the buttons and input area before beginning a long round. Use the on-screen labels to avoid an accidental restart.
