How to play Spider Solitaire
Use a short break to learn the rhythm of Spider Solitaire. Complete eight same-suit king-to-ace runs. Check the relevant rule before repeating a move. Identify the playing area and the controls you need. Keep the game area visible while you use its controls.
Two decks, one/two/four suits; fill every column before a ten-card stock deal. Free solo play, no wagering.
A useful comparison
Compare the worked example with your own position. Use the reasoning, not an answer copied from a different board. Refer to the controls when needed.
Your goal
Complete eight same-suit king-to-ace runs. The feedback beside the game helps you follow the round. Check the rules when you are unsure.
Step by step
- Build down by rank. Only descending same-suit groups move together. Empty columns accept any movable group.
- Select a face-up card and then the destination pile or Empty slot.
- Use foundations where available; full Spider or Scorpion runs clear automatically.
- Undo reverses a choice. New deal shuffles again.
Controls
Click or tap cards and piles. Wide tableaus scroll inside the game; use Undo, Hint and New deal where shown. Read a button’s label before selecting it. Look at the feedback after the action.
A useful example
A mixed-suit descending stack cannot move as one group. Apply the same reasoning to the position in your own round. Take a moment to compare.
Watch out for this
Random deals are not guaranteed solvable. A hint is a legal move, not a winning strategy. Read the feedback to see why an action did not have the expected result. Watch the feedback after an action. A message can explain whether the input was accepted or whether a rule needs attention.
